Privacy Policy
Quick answer
This website has no accounts, forms, ads or file downloads. It uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, which sets cookies and sends usage data to Google. This policy covers this website only, not the AAAnything app, which has its own policy from its developer.
Who is responsible for this website?
This website is run by AutoPal LLC, 539 W. Commerce St, Suite 4399, Dallas, TX 75208, USA. It is an unofficial website and is not operated by Kododake, the author of the AAAnything app. For privacy questions, email teamautopal@outlook.com.
What data does this website process?
- Analytics data: pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location, and device and browser information, collected through Google Analytics 4 (property G-1956307PT4).
- Server logs: our hosting provider may keep standard logs, such as IP address, requested page and time, to run and protect the service.
- Messages: if you contact us, we receive your address and whatever you send.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal data or knowingly send Google information that directly identifies you.
How does this website use Google Analytics?
Google Analytics mainly uses first-party cookies to report on how visitors use the site. Google says that when collecting data, Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses, although they are used to provide and protect the service and to estimate location. See Google's explanation of how it safeguards this data and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
What cookies and browser storage are used?
- Google Analytics cookies (names beginning
_ga): distinguish visitors and sessions for measurement. - Theme preference (
themein local storage): remembers your light or dark choice. It stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
How can you opt out?
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
Why is this data used?
We use analytics to understand which pages help people and to improve them, and hosting logs to keep the site running and secure. Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent where it is required and otherwise on our legitimate interest in running and improving the website.
Who receives the data?
Google, as our analytics provider, and our hosting provider. These providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long is data kept?
Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of our Google Analytics property. Messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
What are your rights?
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, use the contact details above. We hold little data that can identify you, so we may be unable to link analytics data to you.
What about children?
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
How does this differ from the app's privacy policy?
If you install the AAAnything app, its data handling is covered by the developer's privacy policy. Sites we link to, including GitHub, also have their own policies. See also our Terms of Use.
When does this policy change?
We will update this page and the date at the top when this policy changes.
